The 2017 USCA National Canoe & Kayak Marathon Championships
Dates: August 9-13, 2017.
Location: In Dubuque, Iowa on the Mississippi River.
The City of Dubuque & the Dubuque Area Convention & Visitors Bureau are excited to have the opportunity to host the 2017 USCA National Marathon Canoe & Kayak Championships. Competition will take place on the mighty Mississippi River and Chaplain Schmidt Island and should offer a unique, yet challenging experience. Attendees will have the opportunity to camp or park on the island and enjoy Dubuques most popular green activities without hopping back in their vehicles, given the makeup of Chaplain Schmidt Island and its close amenities.
In cooperation with the Dubuque Dragon Boat Association and the Dubuque Water Sports Club, the 2017 USCA National Marathon Canoe & Kayak Championships
will be an event to have some fun, meet great people, both old and new friends, celebrate sustainability, and explore what Dubuque all has to offer.

Location: Dubuque, IA - Event to be held on the Mississippi River - 10.5 miles total. 5.7 miles upstream; 4.9 miles downstream. Approximate time is 2:00 hours (1 hour per lap).
