USCA Nationals Age Class Definitions

USCA age group definitions for 2011

All youth ages are as of midnight December 31, 2010. All adult ages are as of race day.

In tandem events (C2, K2), the team's age group is determined by the younger paddler in adult classes and the older paddler in Junior and younger classes.

Fledgling I: 5-7 years of age at midnight December 31, 2010.
Fledgling II: 8-10 years of age at midnight December 31, 2010.
Bantam: 11-12 years of age as of midnight December 31, 2010.
Juvenile: 13-14 years of age as of midnight December 31, 2010.
Junior: under 18 years of age as of midnight December 31, 2010.
Master: 40-49 as of race day.
Senior: 50-59 as of race day.
Veteran 1: 60-64 as of race day.
Veteran 2: 65-69 as of race day.
Grand Veteran 1: 70-74 as of race day.
Grand Veteran 2: 75 years of age or more as of race day.
Adult/Youth: the adult must be 18 or older on race day;
             the youth must be 5 or older but 14 or younger as of midnight December 31, 2010.
Adult/Junior: the adult must be 18 or older on race day;
             the junior must be under 18 as of midnight December 31, 2010.
