Youth: The Greg Barton Cup Challenge

Note #1: Ages: For Barton Cup Qualifying Races taking place in the 12 months leading to a USCA Nationals, ages are measured as of midnight on the December 31 preceding that Nationals.   Example 1: For Qualifying Races taking place August 15, 2012 through August 4, 2013, ages are measured as of December 31, 2012.   Example 2: For races taking place from August 12, 2013 through August 10, 2014, ages are measured as of December 31, 2013.

Note #2: Barton Cup Qualifying Race hosts are required to get their race results information to the Chair of the Barton Cup Committee, Paula Thiel and the Chair of the Youth Committee, Dave Diget , no later than the Monday of Nationals Week - for 2014, that is August 11. The required information includes the name of the qualifying paddler, paddler's birth date, parent or guardian's name, email and mailing addresses and phone number(s). It would be very much appreciated if this information were sent within a week of race date for Barton Cup Qualifying Races held earlier than August 2014.

Note #3: The Barton Cup Challenge finals at USCA Nationals qualifies as a Barton Challenge Qualifying Race for the following year.

June 14, 2014: at 50th Annual Tiadaghton Elm Classic Canoe and Kayak Race (PA).
June 14, 2014: at 30th Annual Fort Wayne Canoe & Kayak Races (IN).
June 15, 2014: at Loyalsock Flatwater Challenge (PA).
June 22, 2014: at 2014 PACK State Championship Kayak/Canoe Race (PA).
July 5, 2014: at Armond Bassett Memorial Canoe and Kayak Race (NY).
July 26, 2014: at Mirror Lake Canoe and Kayak Championships (NJ).
August 12-17, 2014: at 2014 USCA National Marathon Canoe & Kayak Championships, Lock Haven (PA) Note: a 2015 BC Qualifier.
