MIKE FREMONT CONSERVATION AWARD
ELIGIBILITY: The Mike Fremont Conservation Award is presented by the United States Canoe Association to recognize an individual or organization for an outstanding effort that has been made, nationally or internationally toward river conservation. This Award is named in honor of Mike Fremont for his many years of dedication to preserving the nations waterways. SELECTION COMMITTEE: Executive Committee (President serving as Chair), Executive Director. PROCEDURE: Press release is to be coordinated by the executive director. Nominations must be returned to the executive director on or before July 30. The committee shall meet at the semi-annual meeting and select a recipient. The executive director shall coordinate the attendance of the recipient to attend the USCA Annual Meeting for the presentation. The Award presentation shall be made by the USCA Conservation Chair and/or President at the USCA evening banquet. No one other than the executive committee, executive director, and the conservation chair shall be knowledgeable of the name of the recipient before the Award presentation. AWARD: To be determined.
