Passing of Chris Schmidt

I write this with a very heavy heart. The paddling community loss a great person today, Chris Schmidt. Chris leaves behind her husband and friend, John Casale, and her son Jason from New York City. Chris was a gifted paddler, an athlete who had the heart of a warrior. But my family and I loved Chris for who she was as a person. I have been blessed with many opportunities to travel and race with Chris, as many of you had. And what she has left are nothing but wonderful memories that make me smile. We will all miss her very much.
